Sexual Discipleship in the Church:
An Approach Filled with Truth and Grace
Church leaders are faced with serious challenges when it comes to sexual discipleship in the context of their church community. An approach filled with truth alone can create barriers that could stand in the way of people feeling that they can show up at your church. However, an approach filled with grace alone can keep people from the truth that will lead them to a flourishing life with Jesus. A theology of the body just might provide an answer that is winsome and yet doesn’t compromise Biblical truth. Together we’ll hear one another’s struggles, explore the key points of this teaching, and then learn from one another as we practice responding to common church scenarios in a way that is filled with both grace and truth.
Learning objectives:
1. Participants will be able to identify the challenges of sexual discipleship in churches.
2. Participants will be able to articulate a theology of the body in a way that is accessible and useful.
3. Participants will respond to common scenarios related to sexual discipleship in a way that is full of both grace and truth.
