Mission
Equipping, supporting, and collaborating with Christian leaders to promote Gospel-centered sexuality in the Church.
Core Values
Christ-centered – Jesus is the Lord and Savior of all humanity and the spiritual leader of this community.
Scripturally-grounded – We ground everything we do in the framework of an orthodox, historic understanding of the Bible.
Professionally-sound – We utilize current medical and social-science research, cultural studies, and ongoing training to guide our response to sexual issues.
People-focused – We promote personal presence with others to keep our focus on honoring and serving them as God’s image bearers.
Grace-based – We cultivate a culture of grace and care for those who have sinned against God with their sexuality and those who have been harmed by the sexual sins of others.
Integrity-oriented – We believe that Jesus Christ’s forgiveness, grace, and presence calls and enables us to live with sexual integrity in increasing measure throughout our lives.
Collaborative – We pursue strong partnerships with like-minded individuals and organizations to multiply the spiritual and relational power of Christian community.
Holistic – We approach the complex issues of sexuality through a comprehensive emphasis on the needs of the whole person.
Prayerful – We consistently seek the inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit and respond to His leading in everything we do.
Statement of Faith
The Bible - We believe that the Holy Bible is God's authoritative, inspired, infallible Word.
The Nature of God - We believe in one God, eternally present in three Divine Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God created all things, knows all things, and cares deeply for His creation. Because of His eternal love, He can be trusted to know what is best for us.
Jesus Christ - We believe that Jesus Christ is the only-begotten Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, being at the same time fully God and fully human. Jesus lived a sinless life, performed miracles, proclaimed the Good News of God’s Kingdom, and was killed on the cross for the sins of humanity. Jesus was resurrected from the dead in a glorified body three days after His death and appeared to his disciples many times before ascending to the right hand of the Father, from which He will one day return again in power and glory to judge the living and the dead.
Creation - With great care and intentionality, God created the universe and all that it contains, including our sexuality. God’s divine attributes, including harmony, order, beauty, and goodness, are still evident throughout His creation despite the disorder wrought by sin. God designed our sexuality to reveal the mystery of God’s eternal love. Despite sin, all people—whether single or married—are called to carefully steward their sexuality and continually open themselves to God’s sanctifying actions.-
Humankind - We believe that God created human beings—male and female—in His image and likeness and called them to faithfully steward His creation. Men and women provide unique expressions of God’s image through their capacity for love, relationships, and marital sexual intimacy. Humans were created to be holy, but rebelled against God. This act of sinful rebellion, known as the Fall, damaged their relationships with God, other people, and all of creation, as well as disintegrating the original internal harmony of body, mind, and spirit. We believe that all humans are sinful and in need of God’s forgiveness, which is only available through Jesus Christ.
Salvation - We believe that people can only be reconciled to God by His grace through faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Salvation is God's gift to us through his Son.
The Holy Spirit - We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of Life, who is co-eternal with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit reveals the will of God and makes Jesus Christ known to humankind. The Holy Spirit sanctifies us by convicting us of our sins and enabling us to grow more into the likeness of Christ.
Resurrection - We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people. Those who have received the gift of salvation in Christ shall be raised to eternal life, but those who have rejected Him will be separated from Him for eternity.
The Church - We believe in the universal Church comprised of Christ-followers from every nation, language, and time in history. The Church is a community of renewal for imperfect people of faith and a witness to God’s love for the entire world. Despite the many doctrinal divisions that still separate faithful Christians, we cling hopefully to Jesus’ prayer that one day, we “may all be one” in Him.
Christian witness - We believe that all Christ-followers have an opportunity to share the hope and healing they have found in Jesus Christ and an obligation to make disciples of all people and nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that Jesus taught.
