Greetings in Christ,
We are excited to invite you to submit your proposal for presenting at our next Summit. Before using the submission form below, please review our qualifications for a good proposal.
1) Know the what: SILS is a conference by professionals for professionals. This means that most attendees are not new to sexual topics and are already working in this field. We plan the Summit around people with more than a basic understanding of additions, recovery, pornography, and trauma. Please do not submit basic (i.e. Addiction 101) presentations for consideration.
2) Know the who: Our audience is comprised of clinicians (35%), parachurch ministry leaders and staff (35%), pastors and other church workers (5%), mentors and coaches (20%), and other change agents (5%). When you submit your proposal, you will need to identify a primary audience for your content.
3) Know the how: Your proposal should be directed toward a breakout or workshop session. We choose keynote talks through a different process. The best presentations will include a LOT of group discussion and/or hands-on learning. Our goal is to help caregivers get better at their craft and active engagement is the best for this.
4) Know the need: For the upcoming Summit, we are seeking:
- primary research and/or field work updates
- hands-on workshops for practitioners
- Youth ministry advances/ best practices
- Singleness and sexuality content
- Practical guides/research on female addiction w/younger women
- Addressing leader burnout/Sabbath practices
- Understanding AI/tech issues
- Working with betrayed husbands
5) Know the past: Before submitting your idea, please review previous Summit topics below and look for gaps in our content. If a topic has already been covered, we may still use your idea, but you will need demonstrate how your approach is unique, new, or different than how others are addressing the topic.
